Design/Build approach
CGD inc. is a Design/Build company and assumes the "one-stop shopping" approach to rooftop gardens. This is where the architectural designer and building contractor are one in the same. Imagine the benefits of making a single phone call to a team that can handle your entire rooftop project! From initial conceptual drawings, budgets, permits, feasibility studies and working drawings to the actual construction and final walk-through, CGD inc. design/build will employ a team of experts in their fields to complete each step. We will provide an initial "budgeting" estimate to reduce the risk of paying for complete architectural drawings that then require major overhauls to fit within your budget. By developing a design for your project, you will eliminate time-consuming and costly errors. All the detail and investigative work are completed up front, all but eliminating surprises during construction and significantly reducing the timeframe from design to completion. Most importantly, CGD inc. design/build will be your single source of accountability.

Contact us to schedule an on site visit from one of our award winning designers. This visit will include... Getting to know your likes and dislikes. Familiarize ourselves with the area that is to be transformed. Getting any additional information, like a Plat of Survey, blue prints or engineering papers that state weight loads. This is not mandatory but will expedite the process which will allow us to start a concept drawing at no charge to you!
All decisions are made upfront - so there are no surprises after the work has begun. We fully commit to your budget range, which means no surprise costs later. We assign a lead designer, on-site project manager and an in office production manager to your project to ensure clear communication and efficient execution. Majority of work is done using our own people and our own equipment - ensuring quality control, continual supervision and tidiness.
What CGD isn't
CGD isn't your average deck company. You can hire a carpenter for that. We don't face screw plank boards. We don't use pine as planters. We just don't use inferior material knowing that it will only break down in a very short time. What we do use is only high grade materials that will last for many years to come. IPE, Massaranduba woods, stainless steel, powder coated aluminum, metals, composites for cladding, rainscreens and other applications. We are very detailed and particular when thinking about the design, materials and project as a whole in order to protect your investment and our name.
